Simpson is in communication with the Lord Mayoi upon the proposal to commemorate the memory of the la to King. by establishing an Imperial Institute of Hygiene and Tropical 'Medicine, primarily devoted to the study of endemic and epidemic diseases which ■render tho tropics unhealthy to white people. One half of the three hundred thousand ■pounds required for the consumptive sanatorium as a Welsh national memorial to King Edward is already promised.
