1 — A SUCCESSFUL CONCERT. A concert was held at Manakau, on Friday evening, in aid of Paudita * Hamabai's "Mission to Indian Widows." The attend,a nee wa.s large, and a sum of £5 7s (id was taken at the hall doors. Art in del i - tional sum of lis (3d was raised by the sale of sweets. The following programme was gone through Piiano, drum, triangle and bells, Teddy Bear March in Costume; song, "Spring," Miss Hurley ; dance, Highland schottische, Miss Hall; song, with mandolin accompaniment, "Rainbow" (encored), Miss Elva Bevan; piano and strings, "Serenade Badine," Mrs F. C. Simcox 'cello, Mrs Swahey 2nd, and Mr F. S. Ssimcox Ist vnolin; duet, "Honeywhite Moon," Miss and Mr Mr F. S. Simcox, Ist violin; duet, (encored), Miss Hall; song, "Japanese Love Story," Miss Simcox; mandolin solo, "La GV.arine," Mr R. L. Bacchus. At this stage of the concert there was an interval, to allow the sale of home made sweets. Programme (continued) : "Toy Symphony:" sonsr. "Flag of every N'ation," Mr W. Bevan, jun. : song, "Someone," Miss Florrio Bevan; song, "Mandalay," Mr' W. M. Simcox; dance, "cnon, " Mi PS TT.nl 1 (encored,) "Trisli jig" (double encore); "Mammy's Piccaninny." Miss Simcox; "toy symphony." repeated. The concert was organised by Mrs Lance Bacchus, of Manalwi.
