"EGG CIRCLE" FOR WERAROA.

Uv J. B. Merrett, editor of the New Zealand Poultry Journal, was to have delivered an. address last evening in connection with the- for-. m:\tion of an "egg circle" for the Manawatu, at the old Library Room, Swainson and Beran'.s buildings, Weraroa. Unfortunately when at Wellington on his way up Mr Merrett received a telegram stating tJiat his wife was ill, and that it was imperative for him to return, at once. He then wired to Mr H. Leger suggesting that he should telegraph to Mr T. H. Rutherford asking him to act as his substitute. Mr Rutherford, however, had a previous engagement, so that last evening's meeting had to be abandoned, but Mr Merrett has intimated to Mr Leger that he will visit Weraroa in a fortnight's time. The primary object of the movement is to form an "egg circle" for Levin, and then proceed to Feilding and Wangamui, and establish other branches there such as exists at the present time at Masterton.
