The Mew Zealand Herald, 27th February, has the folio wing:— The s.a, Midge returned from the Thames yesterday afternoon with 38 passengers, and a parcel of gold, containing, as weighed by the Bank of New Zealand, 1,111 ozs* the product of Hunt and Co.’s olaim at Kurunui. _ Another parcel from the same claim, estimated,to weigh about 800 ozs., is expected up an Monday next, by the s.s. Midge. Messrs Hunt and Co. have recently struck another rich leader, specimens of which, containing nearly half gold, have been shown .to ns. The above facts are perfectly reliable, having been obtained froitn an unquestionably creditable authority.
