A BRIDAL SHOWER

Miss Kay Fannin wan again the lucky recipient of a “ shower” tea party on Wednesday, when Miss Lin* dal Candy gave a “tea towel” afternoon, inviting a number of girl friends of the bride elect. All brought tea towels or glass chloths many of which were gaily embroidered with some pretty device, and a useful pile of these necessary articles resulted, embellished in a way that would please any young housekeeper. Mrs Candy was rearing a charming dress of navy blue, crepe-dc-chine with ecru guipure lace-relief, and Miss Lindal Candy was in a dainty pink floral georgette frock. A “bridal” competition was won by Miss Sheila McLeod, who was given a little silk purse as the prize. Very attractive did the drawing room look with vases full of flowers in tones of tangerine and copper, arranged with trails of copper beech.
