FOR THE BRIDE

A “PINK” TEA.

Miss M. Triggs. of Napier, was given a very delightful tea by Miss Jean Ballantyne. everything being carried out in a'pink colour steeme, very attractive to the guests of honour, and her friends who wore there to meet her.

The living-room was beautifully decorated with pink sweet peas and masses of Dorothy Perkins roses in tones of deep rose-pink, and each guest brought a dainty little gift, everything being of the same colour. Glass cloths, note paper, a coat hanger, vase, jug, and many ether little pink-hued gifts were opened by Miss Triggs, who was very pleased with the dainty trifles for her house. Mrs Ballantyne was wearing a smart printed crepe-de-chine dress of black, with rods and pinks softly woven into the material; her daughter. Mrs Royston Campbell wore a dainty beige frock, with two-tone hem and collar of fuschia and green, and a cloche hat of crochet straw.

Miss Jean Ballantyne was in a pretty mauve and green voile, with floral effect of white and yellow daisies.

The ('rock chosen by Miss Triggs was of Indian rose georgette, with effective satin bands of the same colour.

A very enjoyable time was spent by everyone. There was a delicious tea and also competitions. A flower competition when the heads of flowers without leaves or stalks had to be correctly named, was won-by Miss Amy Roach. Miss Flo Pratt was the successful winner of a car competition.
