The British Trade Commissioner, Air L B. Beale, has received details ofa £2,000,000 scheme for financing the export of British textile machinery’ to Germany, under which buyers will deposit 20 to 25 yer cent, of the total cost, the remainder to be paid quarterly. A three or four years' estimate of £20,000,000 covers 10 years, and it is anticipated that the textile machinery trade with Germany will be trebled. Apprehension i« expressed in Germany at the growing competition of British industry in world markets especially with China. Japan and the United States, due not only to superior quality, but to superior financing on the British side to that now applied to the German market.
