SPECIAL “TRIBUNE” RECIPES.
CHRISTMAS PUDDING. (Cut out We Recipe.: Now is the time to make the Christmas puddings belore the rush of tying up parcels and preparing lo; the holidays. This “Tribune” meipe is an excellent one, and the amount given makes about four medium puddings, which, if boiled in greased basins with buttered paper and cloths on top, will keep ready for use from now until Easter PLUM PUDDING. 11b. breadcrumbs 'stale bread finely crumbed). 2 tablespoons of flour gib. verv finely chopped sunt. 11b. sugar. lib. raisins lib. sultanas Jib. finely cut peel. 2 teaspoons mixed spies. Half a grated nutmeg. 8 eggs. 3 tablespoons treacle. Mix all the dry ingredients, and mix in the treacle (warmed). Let all stand for a few hours. Beat the yolks of the eggs and mix m. and lastly the whites of the eggs beaten stiff. In the ’Xmas pudding basin place some boiled silver coins if so wished. Boil about four hours, and if eaten hot boil another hour before serving.
