Mrs. A. D. S. Whyte motored back on Thursday from a visit to Wellington and accompanying her was Dr. Marian Whyte, who has just returned from England. • a • Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Chambers, of Te Mata, returned on Tuesday from Dunedin. r * * Mr. and Mrs. C. Kennedy, of Napier, are staying in Taupo. Miss Hewson has returned from a visit to Mrs. Sanders, of Kopua. Mrs. F. von Dadelszen left on Tuesday for a short holiday in Wei lington. Miss Bargrove, who is in New Zealand after nurse-missionary work in Hangchow, China, is staying with Mrs, Rickards, of Charlotte Crescent. Miss M. Couper, of Havelock North, is in camp at Palmerston with the Girl Guides. Mrs Dixon, and Miss M. Wanklyn, of Napier, left this week for Taupo. ft * * Mrs. Nelson Fowler is staying with friends in the Wairarapa. Miss Nancy Fannin leit by the mail train on Tuesday en route for Auckland Mrs. C. Mortimer-Jones left on Thursday for a few days’ visit to her sister Mrs. H. Davies, of Lower Hutt. Miss Edith Sealy, of Lqv ry (Bay, Wellington, motored to Napier lor a few days this week. , Miss Rhoda Holt, doughter of Mr and Mrs John Holt, Caroline road, returns on Monday to Hastings after a tour which included England Scotland, the Continent and Canada.
