SHOOT AT LONGLANDS. The Longlands ground was the venue for the Hawke's Bay Gau Club's shoot on Saturday when a fair number of members were present. During the afternoon tea recess a welcome was extended to the visitors one being on a trip from India. The first match fired was a 5-bird sweepstake in which D. M. Campbell, N. Beamish, T. Kelly and J. Benson, accounted for all their birds and divided the stake. A 12-bird trophy shoot, first prize value 3gns._ second prize" value 21s third prize ’value 17s 6d, fourtli prize 10s 6d, was then fired. W. J. Benson with all birds accounted for took the first prize. W. J. Robottom second prize with 11, T. Kelly and J. Mills, with 10 birds each, shot off -for third and fourth prizes, which resulted in J. Mills getting third prize and T. Kelly fourth. The concluding event of the day was a five-bird quail drive. J. Mills, D. M. Campbell and T. Kelly brougut down all their birds and shot off for the money. T. Kelly dropped out Bussing the tenth bird, which gave mm third place. Mills and Campbell both missed their fifteenth bird, so had to continue shooting. At the ninteenth bird Mills had a miss, while Campbell got his bird, the latter thereioie taking first money and Mills second.
