TAKAPAU.
(Own Correspondent). The, ordinary monthly meeting of the Takapau School Committee was held on Monday evening. Present: Messrs. N. M. Paulsen (chairman). J. A. Grant. D. \ esty, W, Cuthbertson, and D. McMillan. An apology for non-attendance was received from Mr. Norrie. The headmaster's report was read and received. The roll number was 178 and the average attendance 163. It was decided to congratulate the headmaster and staff on the good results of the proficiency examination and on the very satisfactory nature of the inspectors’ annual report. It was decided to write to the Wsipnwa County Council in appreciation of that body meeting the committee m the matter of rates. The matter of nri’e purchasing and distribution was left in the hnnds of the chairman and headmaster.
