Mr. Hamilton Price, a leading handicapper and lawn tennis writer, ranks the first twelve tennis players of England as follows:—Higgs, Gregory, Greig. Austin, Crole-Rees, Kingsley, Lester. Turnbull. Lycett, Sharpe. Hughes Powell. He describes Higgs as the only potential champion, because he alone has acquired control of speed, forehand and backhand.—(A. and N.Z.)
