BOWLING.

ST. LEONARD'S CLUB. ELECTRIC LIGHT, PLAY. The official opening of the season under the new conditions of night play under electric light, took place last evening, when the playing green was filled to its fullest capacity, visitors from Hastings, Port, Napier and Kia Toa Clubs to the number of 64 taking part in the games, whilst a large number of people occupied the banks. The president (Mr. E. J. Murray) in a happy speech declared the green open for electric light play and everybody present was pleased with the result of the light and also with the suitability of the green for night play. Some very good games resulted, and, at the conclusion of play, Mr. Bewley, on behalf of the visitors, thanked the St. Leonard's Club for the excellent evening tlyjt had been provided for them.
