SATURDAY’S WEEK-END EXCURSION
The Success of the week-end excursion to Wellington next Saturday is assured. The opportunity of viewing the Empire City and Entering into its life for a week-end has appealed to everyone. The chance of spending the week-end among old friends and possibly making many, new ones has been the means of inducing a large number of arrange for the trip, both from Wanganui and Hawke’s' Bay. Among the younger members of the community the attractions of city life also the opportunity of seeing the Provincial Athletic Champions in action has appealed to their active nature, and a number of the younger generation will therefore bo making th 0 journey for the first time. Naturally the gieat incentive to join the excursion is the outstanding cl cup fare. This is. ohly half the amount ordinarily charged for the return journey from Ha.-lugs to Wellington. In these ciroun.oiances it is but natuial that a largo number would vail themselves of the cheapest travel over a long distance ever offered by the Railway Depatnient.
