Wellington, Nov, 22. The explosion of a tin of methylated spirits near which they were working with a lamp, resulted in George Jessen and Charles Stanton, both aged 25. being badly burned at the Co-Operative Dairy Producers’ Freezing Company’s buildings. Jessen was severely injured about the head arms, body and legs and his condition is serious. It is understood he was to he married to-night. Stanton’s arms and head were injured, but not seriously.
