SUMMER-TIME
APPRECIATION of THE ACT.
SUGGESTIONS FOR UTILISING SUBSCRIPTIONS,
Wellington, Nov. 22. At a meeting of the Suummer-time appreciation movement yesterday it was reported that excellent support was being accorded throughout the Dominion.
Mr T. K. Sidey attended and expressed thanks for the interest being taken. He said a great many suggestions had been made for commemorating the passing of the Act. They mostly favoured a scholarship in some form, and in some cases very valuable and interesting proposals were made associated with the advancement of public heaita, gardening, and agriculture. After some discussion it was agreed that the time had not arrived to come to any definite conemsjou. It was agreed, however, that the subscriptions should be used for some national purpose There is a misconception in many minds that it is the intention to make a personal presentation to Mr Sidey. He made it quite clear that he would not entertain such a proposal.
