JOLLY BIRTHDAY PARTY

Very daintily attired in party frocks, twenty-two little friends journeyed to The Laurels, Riverslea, on Wednesday afternoon, the occasion being the 10th birthday of Bunty, the daughter of Mrs. O’Connor. The little guests had quite an enjoyable time. Gifts from an Xmas, tree were given each one and various competitions and games were indulged in, prizes being won by Ngaire Jack, Valda Tong and Nancy Lord. After the little guests had partaken of a sumptuous tea the evening was devoted to music, song and dance. Those present were:—Thora and Bonnie Davidson, Shirley and Ngaire Jack, Verida Hill, Elaine and Valma Boss, Muriel Baddely, Betty Hodgkinson, Nola Henderson, Marjorie Marshall, Peggy and Nancy Lord, Valda Tony, Edna Giles, Pearl and Ruby McCormick Raey Bunny, Phylis Smith, and Coral Morrison, In spite of the inclement weather all expressed themselves as having had a very jolly time and at the conclusion were all motored safely to their respective homes.
