4UC£L4ND LIVE STQC& MABKET. (Reports to Sept. 8.) [MR. ALFRED BJJCKXMN'D.] At the Haymarket on Saturday last fodder maintained previous values; best quality brought 6s the cwt. Horse stock' offered in limited numbers. A young draught horse, medium strength, ,£25; riding horses, from j£6 to 222 each. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cows at calving were in average supply, and sold more freely ; they brought from £5 10s to .£8 15s; dry cows, from 45s to 80s; two year-old heifers, in low condition, from «£3 to ,£3 15s; yearlings, 42s 6d; steers, from ,£4 to £5 15s. Fat calves were scarce and at high values. Fat cattle were in average supply; 93 head sold. Prices were scarcely as high as last week; abo'it 30s the 1001 b aas the average obtained Long-wooled ewes and lambs, 22s the couple; quarter-bred, 13s the couple. Fat sheep were short of requirements, and at higher values. Fully 5d the lb was given for them; about 500 penned. Pigs were in moderate supply, and brought extreme values. I ■ ;' , J ■ . gg L g
