HUNTER AND NOLA.N.] PaTTLE : There was again a short muster of all descriptions j no really good dairy cows offer-d, but for those approaching ir, the competition was fair. Stores were unequal to requirements, and not the description sought after. Well-bred grown steers are much enquired for, and wou'd command advanced rates. Fat beasts are in very short supply, pnd prices hare decidedly an upward tendency, 27s 6d per IQOlbs. being readily obtained, while some prime beasts ranged a shade higher. Sheep : The market continues barely supplied, and prices remain firm for average weight, while really good are a shade higher. Best quality two-year old welhers sold from 26s to 32s each ; second quality, 15s to 17a 6d —or an average of 5d per lb.
