Hewitt, Harris, and Bird won all the prizes against good competition. The Saucy Las«, supposed to have been lost during the recent gales, has arrived at Wangarei There has been no appearance yet of the missing schooner Twilight. The s.s. St Kilda, which arrived from Wanganui to-day, sails again on Saturday. The s.s. James Paterson lefc for the Fiji Islands to-day witl} twenty pas sengers and a full cargo. During the last twenty-four hours the Caledonian mine has brought up 30 cwfc. of rich specimens. Another dividend of <£l2 is payable on Monday. The shares have now advanced to .£lO7 10s. Thames shares arc selling at £2O ; tion, £2 ; Kurunni, .£'3 ; Cures, 9s.
