A telegram from Taranaki informs us of another native meeting in that Province. The murderer and cannibal Ti toko warn was present, backed by forty armed followers, and complained that an armed expedition had been sent against him from Patea. Oar correspondent describes this state of affairs as " satisfactory " ! The notorious rebel appears to possess the sympathies of a section of the settlers in that district, who seem entirely to ignore his past deeds; for we learn that a number of Europeans were present, including two women, who so far forgot themselves as to shake hands with the criminal.
