Resident Magistrate's Court.— This morning a drunkard was fined 5s and 2s 6d cab-hire.for taking him to the lock-up. Native Meeting.—A. good many natives were in town to dav, a meeting having been appointed for the discussion of certain matters connected with the Seventy-mile Bush. The heavy rains of the last two or three days have wrought great havoc with the roads and streets of tfyis town Many guldens, too, have suffeied considerably, the mould having been carried away, paths destroyed, or portions entirely buried in drift sand, or shingle. The rain had cleared away this morning, and the sun shone out, but the weather does not vet appear settled,
