Resident Magistrate's Court.- - No cases this morning. The Star op the South.—Unfortunately, the launch of the above vessel, which, as our readers are aware, had been fixed for to-day, could not take place owing to the heavy surf breaking on the beach. We have to acknowledge the receipt of the first volume of the Appendix to the Journals of the House of Reprepresentatives for the session of 1870 Tt is a bulky volume, and comprises the records of the Legislative, Political, and Native Departments. The projected Picnic in Sturm's paddock, we hear, not now likely to come oIF, the Artillery Volunteers having altered their arrangements.
