The schooner Colonist, Captain Lewis, arrived here at 10 o'clock this morning. She left Auckland on Thursday last, 15th inst., and arrived at Poverty Bay on Monday ; discharged cargo, and loft for Napier on Tuesday evening, arriving here as above. Had variable winds throughout. The s.s. Napier may be expected to arrive from Poverty via Mahia to night or to-morrow morning. Weather permitting, she will steam benee for Wairoa at 8 p.m. on Monday next, 20tb instant
The brigantine Flirt, for LyHelton, the schooner Three Brothers, for Moeangiangi, and the ketoh Mary Ann Hudson, for Wairoa, all took their departure last evening j and the schooner H*ro, for Wairoa, proceeded to sea this morning. The s.s. Rangatira leaves for Wellington this evening. The s.s. Lord Ashley, from Tauranga and Auckland, may, we believe, be looked for on or about Monday next, 26th inst. The San Francisco Bulletin says that Mr Webb's first boat will leave for New Zealand on the Ist January. The ship Inflexible, from Auckland, arrived at London on the 10th October. The barque Mary Rusaell Mitford lef Boston, U.S., for Port Chalmers on the 27th Oct. The ship Celeano left London for Wel'ington on the 11th October. The ships Celestial Queen, Jessie Readman, and Caduceus, ail from Lyttelton, had arrived at London—the two lorraer on the 10th Oct., and the latter on the 17th. The ship Gloucester, from Wellington, and the barque Ismay, from Auckland, both arrived at London on the 17th October. The following vessels were loading in England for New Zealand at latest dates: —At London : Cadnceus, for Wellington ; Crusader, for Canterbury ; and England, for Wellington.
