Jerkelson, loading with wool, flax, and tallow at Port Underwood, was discovered to be on fire on Friday last, 11th inst. The captain slipped cable and ran ashore. The fire, it would appear, broke out aft, among the flax. Accounts received here this morn ing say that the vessel has been totally destroyed. She burned below her copper, and heeled over into deep water—the port side in 16 feet. There is no suspicion of foul play.
