At the last meeting of the Council of the Society of Arte the award of the Albert medal was unanimously conferred on Baron Liebig for his scientific labors of international importance. It therefore becomes a question for the consideration of growers, how fa>* it i» f° r their interest to continue a practice, which not only fails to improve, the appearance of their wool or to en nance its value, but must at the same tima seriously diminish tUe weight of each fleece,"
