Wellington, April 19, 7,2 p.m. The Galatea anchored in Nelson Harbor at noon yesterday. The Superintendent, Sir Da\id Munro, the Provincial Secretary, and Col. Richmond visited the Prince on board at 2 o'clock. The public landing took place this day at 10 a.m. The Prince w as received by his Honor the Superintendent and the Exception Committee on the wharf. There was a grand procession, consisting of the volunteers, the various public bodies, and several thousands of .people, including many visitors from the West Coast. The Prince received addresses in the Provincial Hall. A Maori war-dance was given in the afternoon, after which the Prince drove to the Wairaea. A ball is being held this evening ; the weather is lovely. A large number of visitors have gone on board the Galatea. There is no news from the West Coast, The Wellington Militia have been taken off from actual service. Mi* Fitzherbert has arrived in Melbourne. He will come on to Wellington by the first steamer. The commissions of Captain Kelly, Bay of Plenty; and of Captain Buchanan, of Napier, have been cancelled by the Governor. ■
