Notice. .ENDEES in duplicate will be received at the Militia Office, Napier, up to 4 p.m., This Day, Thursday, the 22nd inst., for the supply of the undermentioned RATIONS and FUEL and LIGHT, in bulk, in the Kawke's Bay District, at such places and in such quantities as the Officer Commanding may direct, from the 26th April to the 2oth July. The Eation to consist of— Bread, Hft>, or Biscuit, lib Meat, life Sugar, 2oz. Tea, l-6th oz. Coffee, £oz. Pepper, 1 36th oz. Salt, £oz. Oats, bushel The scale of fuel and light to be the same as in force for the Imperial troors. That, and the conditions the contractor will have to sign on his tender being accepted, may be seen at the Militia Office, Napier. The tender to state the rate per Eation, including the scale of Fuel and the scale of Light. Also to state the rate per Bread, Grocery, and Meat Eation separately, so that in the event of the contraetor supplying more of one of these particular Rations than another during a month, he may be paid for those in addition to the complete Eation. These three items added together must not ex -eed the price of a full Katpn. The contractor, if required, will have to supply half (£) a pound of Bacon and a one (1) pound of Meat, but may tender at an extra rate for this particular Eation.
