THE WEST COAST.
Colonel Whitmore has marched with a considerable force for Mokau. in the Province of Taranaki, by the back of Mount Egmont, to attack a large body of Ngatimaniapoto and othei hostile natives who are reported as being collected near the White Cliffs. The next news from Taranaki is anxiously looked for, as it will probably be of importance. Nothing certain was known of the whereabouts of Titokowaru.
