Auckland Punch.—We have received No. 10 of this periodical from the publishers, and are pleased To see, from its show or advertisements, that it is well supported. The cartoon, entitled " Nolens Volens," represents Mr Stafford carelessly leaning against a mantelpiece, while Sir G. Bowen is looking with a perplexed expression at one of a pile of petitions for the resignation of the Ministry, and a messenger is entering with a fresh load. His Excellency asks—- " What can I possibly say to all these petitions 1 " to which Mr Stafford replies—" Say, your Excellency 1 Say that here I am, and here I mean to stop." The general contents of the number are of too local a character to be appreciated out of its own Province. The printing is excellent, but the illustrations, which are lithographed, would look better if thoy were less roughly shaded.
