THE ! ‘ RANGATIRA.” LATEST NEWS. times Office, Monday, morning. The B.s .Rangatira, Gapt, Mundle, arrived here yesterday atl’3o p.m. from Auckland. She was 49 hours on her upward trip, taking np some passengers on the coast, who left in consequence of the disturbed state of the district. The Rangatira left Auckland again on Friday last and made the passage in 46 hours. The Armenian, 17 days from Adelaide, with troops, dropped anchor as she was leaving, and one of the White Star liners was also beating in. When about ten miles out, the Rangatira passed two large ships and a barque, making for port. By this arrival AVe have dates from Auckland to the 22nd inst. The expedition to Tauranga composed of 600 men, in the Miranda and Corio was passed by the Rangatira on her upward trip. The Front. —The latest news from the front is that no movement will take place for several days, and that stores are being accumulated at Whatawbata, which it is not unlikely will be made the head-quarters’-dep6t.
