Will Carry Over 18,000 Letters DELAYEDDEPARTURE

AUQKLAND, This Day. As a Tesult of her delayed departure, the Samoan Olipper is expected to carry over 18,000 letters when she leavefc early to-morx*ow morning. There were 15,000 in hand last night, and the total wai swelled to-day by the addition of fuw ther mail from various parts of tho province and the south. Auckland postal oflicials experienced a steady rush to-day, and it iis apparent that many people, including businesi firms, will profit by the delayed flight Air-mails from various parts of thei Dominion are bringing further letters connect with the clipper. Captain Burgess xegrets that it will not he possible to pass over Hamilton on the outward flight, but when Teturni* ing on January 5 he intends flying oveH the Waikato and Hamilton late in th# afternoon, the Centaurus being '.due a % Auckland at 6 o'clock. When the Centaurus leavee Wellingi ton on Monday for Lyttelton tM probable passengers will include th# Hons. Walter Nash, E. Semple and ¥4 Jones. Other Ministers of the Crowai have been invited to make the trijj over some portion of the tour.
