GREYMOUTH, Last Night. It is tmderstood that the police are moving to have an inquest held conCerning the death of Richard Kennedy, miner, aged 62, who was found dead in his hut at Karangarua, South Westland, on Sunday, November 7. Kennedy's burial took place without an inquest, the doctor giving a certificate of death due to natural causes, namely heart failure. Subsequently inf ormation disclosed that Kennedy was involved in a fight a few hours before his death, a fact not disclosed at the time of his death, but it is known that he had previously complained of ill-health. It will be necessary to exhume the body. It is believed that Kehnedy'3 body, wrapped in a tent, was first interred in a shallow grave in South Westland. Subsequently a Dunedin undertaker reihoved the body to Dunedin, where burial took place. • Kennedy, who was a gold prosector, came fromp Otago, and he had no known relatives.
