ST. PATRICK'S SCHOOL
The breaking-up ceremony in cOnnection with the St. Patrick's School, Station street, Napier, took place on Friday. A treasure hunt took place prior to the distribution of prizes by the Very Rev. Dean Holley, who wa.s accompanied by Rev. Fathers McKenna and Spring. This was followed by a short musical programme. The prizelist was as follows: — Marie Gannaway, 1st in Std. 2; Mary Fistonish, 1st :n Std. 1; Brian McLean, 1st in P. 4; Colleen Forf1 and Peter Dawe, 1st in P. 3; Peggy Pawson, 1st in P. 2; Brian Collins, 1st in P. 1. Madame Lehmann's prize for the most helpful girl in the schOol was won by Mary Jackson. Dean Holley gr.ve the children a short address. The Sisters in charge of the school desire to thana Mr G. Husheer for a donation of £10 towards the funds for prizes.
