CHRISTMAS TRAFFIC AT NAPIER

The Napier Borough Council, at its monthly meeting on Thursday decided to adopt the reeommendation of the Borough Traffic Inspector, Mr. A. M. Oliver, that the following streets be closed to vehicular traffic, except buses, between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.:— Emerson street, Hastings street from Diekens street to Browning street, Market street. It is" intended to close the Parade to vehicular traffic from Albion street to Tennyson street, Emerson street from Hastings street to the Parade and Herschall street from Tennyson street to Emerson street during certain hours on Boxing Day and also on New Year's Eve.
