Miss Jean Wilkinson, daughter of Mr and Mrs F. C. Wilkinson, of Hastings, left this morning to take up a position as. pianiste to a dance orehestra entertaining in the Marlborough Sounds. She expects to return to Hastings after Easter. Mr. and Mrs. Melville Bell, Havelock North, who have spent several months abroad, returned to New Zealand by the Niagara and arrived in Hastings from Auckland by tbe midday train yesterday. The Rev. J. T. MacWilliam of Christchurch, is spending a week's holiday in Hastings with Mr. and Mrs. P. Burr, Roberts street. . Mr and Mrs J. Buchanan, who have been visiting Napier, left by car this morning for Gisborne. Mr and Mrs G. Lawson, who have been on a holiday trip to Napier, left for Wairakei this morning. Mr and Mrs D. Stewart, who have been visiting Napier, left for Wairakei this morning.
Mrs T. H. Ringland, of Napier, left ihis morning on a holiday visit to Auckland. Miss Williams, of " Bishopseour t, " Napier, left by car this morning for Gisborne. Miss Joyce Hunter, of the Hastings Convent School has received word that she was succdssful in winning a echolarship tenable for two years at the SaCred Heart Convent, Wanganui. Miss Crichton Imrie who has been spending some weeks in Hastings is spending tbe CJhristmas bolidays in Wanganui and Feilding. She is aecompanied by her sister, Miss Helen Imrie Miss Moira Clark, who has completed training at the New Ply mouth H^spital, has returned to her home i.J Otane. Miss Monica McVeagh, who has been staying with her sister, Mrs. F. J. Kelly, St. Aubyn street, Hastings, returned to her home in Auckland yesterday.
