The hall was beautifully decorated with flowers and other articles lent by Scottish members and several dolls dressed in tartan were displayed among the decorations, these being lent by Mrs Walker, a recent arrival from Scotland. Also, a beautiful Scotch shawl was shown to members by Mrs Ramsay, of the Napier Home League, and some very fine woven handkerchiefs by another member. During the afternoon several Scottish items were rendered, the accompanistes being played by Mrs Lean and Mrs Hoskings. The final meeting for the year was held on Wednesday, when members received the money that had been paid into the Thrift Club for the year. A prize was given by one of the members to the member having the largest amount in the Thrift Club and this was won by Mrs Brown. A reeitation by Pat Smith was very mu,ch enjoyed by listeners and she was asked to recite again later. A solo by Major Wheeler was another very pleasing item. Several members spoke of the very pleasant afternoons they had spent at the Home Lfeague during the year, and thanked all the ladies holding office for the wonderful time they had given thern. Special thanks were extended to Mrs Venables, who had been tea sergeant for tne past three years and was now giving up that position. The meeting closed with a hymn followed by a prayer, after which the compliments of the season were exchanged by members thus ending a wonderful series of meeting for the year.
