STAY-IN STRIKE

Paris Stores Occupied (Received 15, 1.30 p.m.) PARIS, Dec. 14. All the big department stores and many smaller shops are occupied by stay-in strikers, who are protesting against an alteration in the 40-hour week. eTliey intend to remain in the stores throughout the night. Forty thousand are involved in the strike, which is feared will paralyse the Christmas trade. ®
