Infantile Paralysis in Victoria (Received 15, 8.45 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 14. With the infantile paralysis total at 1170, with 63 deaths, the official view is that the epidemie is abating. The chairman of the Health Commission, Dr. Featonby, said that the outbrealc had passed the epidemie stage, though widely-scattered cases would occur for some time. He had been w.atehing the New Zealand figures, which showgd last week for the first time since the epidemie began that there were no cases reported. Dr, Featonby praised theatres and shop proprietors for their co-operation.
