Rifleman Taylor Wins Rose Bowl

WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. On the Mt. Vernon range on Saturday afternoon the members of the Waipukurau Defence Rifle Club fired off the final round of the Chandler Rose Bowl — two 7 shots at 300 yards. Conditions for shooting were perfect, thus making the final shoot very interesting. At the first range Rifleman Haldane and Rifleman Taylor both Tegistered po&sibles. On the day's shoot Rifleman Haldane headed the list with a fine total of 69. As the Rose BowJ rs won by the two best scores out oi" three, Rifleman N. Taylor becomes the winner with a total of 135, Rifleman Tinney being runner-up with a scoro of 134. Next in order comes Rifleman L. J. Taylor with 132, and J. A. Charnbers with 130.
