TESTED RECIPES
BELGIAN CAKE. Ingredients: |lb. butter, Jlb. sugar, 1 egg, Ub. flour, 1 teaspoonful baking powder, jam. Method: Mix the butter, sugar, egg, flour and baking powder to a dough. Halve the mixture, roll out slightly, place jam over one half and then plaee the other half on top. Bake in a nioderate oven for three-quarters of an hour. (Mrs Horney's recipe).
At the conclusion of the programme Mudame de Mauny was presented with a bouquet of roses.
