Porangahau Meeting

The monthly meeting of the Porangahau Women 's Institute was held in the Masonic Hall. There was a good attendance, ovgr which Mrs T. Hobson presided. Mrs Somerville gave a demonstration of hairpin work. Members took the opportunity oi farcwelling Mrs Black and Miss M. Black, who are leaving the district snoitly. Mrs T. Hobson made a small preservation on behalf of the institute and both Mrs and Miss Black replied. Competitions resulted: Covei'ed coat hanger, Mrs Nelmes 1, Mrs Forest and Mrs C. Hobson equal) 2. Another competition was won by Mrs C. ' Hobson. The hostesses were Mesdames Black and Board.
