CARTERTON, This Day. Fire about ten o'clock this morning broke out in the Foresters' Arms Hotel, Greytown, but was fortunately discovered in time and the brigade Were able to subduo the outbreak, which took place upstairs in a bedroom. The brigade _was delayed in its arrival by failure of the alarm bell to operate, .but on arrival the firemen did excellent work, confining the actual fire damage upstairs. All the ground floor was drenched with water, though it is reported that the liquor stoeks are intact. The insurance is not available. »
