Late Lord Rutherford LONDON, Nov. 20. Soviet scientists gathered in the huge auditorium of the first Moscow University last Sunday to pay tribute t0 the memory of Lord Rutherford. The Moscow oorrespondent of the London Observer "reports that many Russian scientists rank Lord Rutherford With Faraday iu the history of physics and adknowledge him as Faraday' s equal in the remarkable intuition Which led him to simple and clear solutions of the most diflicult and most fundamental scientific problems. The chief address, "My Reminiscences of Ernest Rutherford," was delivered hy Professor P. E. L. Kapitza, who for a number of years worked with Lord Rutherford at Cambridge. H® is now director of the Institute of Physical Problems at Moscow.
