IViccting of Central H.B. Branch

WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. The monthly meeting of the Central Hawke's Bay branch of the Women 's Division of the Earmers' Union1 was held in the Women 's Rest, Waipukurau this afternoon, Mrs G. L. Jamieson presiding over the following members: Mesdames F. Wilson, J. A. Grant, J. C. Williams A. Edgar, P. F. Wall, Misses G. Beachen, E. A. Hobson, . and the secretary, Miss E. Grant. Severai apologies were received. A vote of sympathy was passed to Mrs T. Groome in her recent bereavement. The proceeds from the shop day amounted to £23 17/6. It was decided to send £10 to the Community Chest, and to purchase £1 of health stamps. A letter of appreciation is to be sent to Mrs J. W. Harding for the great interest she has taken in the work of the local branch, with wishes for a pleasant holiday in England, ' 1 Five new members were elecled, Mesdames Lowes (Waipawa), J. G. Rose (Ongaonga), W. ' Clark (Waipawa), J. McLeay (Ongaonga) and W. Golding. The hostesses were Mrs C. Pattison and Mrs Beachen.
