Two Possibles Recorded on Mt. Vernon Range

WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. On the Mt. Vernon Range during the week-end members of the Waipukurau Defence Rifle Club fired off the third round of the club championship and the WJE.C.M.R.'s trophy. Conditions were not the best, a strong mirage and a fish-tail wind hampering the riflemen. There were two possibles ' Tecorded, these being at 500 yards by N. Taylor aiid at 800 yards by L. J. Taylor. When the final cards were handed in it was found that a shoot-off would be necessary between Riflemen McVicar and White. This was won by Rifleman McVicar. Details of the scores are as follows:
