Appointment of New Headmaster

OTANE, Last Night. The adjourned monthly meeting of the Otane School Committee wa§ held on Wednesday night;. Mr. A. E. Black presiding over a full attendance of members. The Education Board advised that tw0 more electrie light points would be installed; that a grant toi £5 was being made available for the purchase of library -books ; that- a table "would be shpplied for the teachers' room; als0 advising that Mr. Roy Thompson had been appodnted headmaster and would take up his duties on February 1. It was decided to ask the board to ihstal three lights instead of two, as this number ' was necessary to provide* a light in each room. Arrangements for the breaking-up ceremony were discussed. Mr. Critchiy is to be asked to address the children. • Mr. Ridge is to be thanked for donating the Dux medal. Gift books are to be proeured for tandard 6 pupils and infant classes. The secretary wasTnstructed t.o make arrangements for oiling the school floors during holidays, and to have concrete work done around school.
