Mr E. ,H. Glendining, Wairoa, is visiting Napier. The Eev. N. E. Winhall, of Upper Hutt, is visiting Wairoa. Mrs M. A. Hyde, of Upper Hutt, is visiting her son, the Eev. C. E. Hyde, Wairoa. Mrs C. Scruby, and Miss Winlove, Waipukurau, left yesterday morning for Euaroa, East Coast, where they will spend Christmas with their niece, Mrs Mechin. Mr . Perry, son-in-law of Mr T. Carson, Waipawa, passed away unexpectedly at Palmerston Noith. He had gonp through a long and trying illness. He was for a considerable time a patienl in the Pukeora SanatOrium, and receutly underwent a serious operation at Palmerston North, from which he was making satisfactory progress when n© suddenly collapsed and died. Beside3 his widow, he leaves two children, who will have the sympathy of a wide circia friends in their sudden bereavement.
