Colvin, seeretary of the National Federation pf Boot and Shoe Manufacturers, has issped the follqwing statement: "The New Zealand Goyern? iqen-j; has informed the British Governmeut that it is contemplating increasing the duty on imported leather footwear for adults or imposing a duty and quota restrietions. New Zealand expresses its willingness to aceept reprasentations by British manufacturers who would put forward a case. ' '
