NEW ZEALAND PLANS Froposal Announced in Britain QUOTA AS ALTERNATIVE

(Eeceived 2, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 1. Mr G. E. Colvin, seeretary of the National Federation pf Boot and Shoe Manufacturers, has issped the follqwing statement: "The New Zealand Goyern? iqen-j; has informed the British Governmeut that it is contemplating increasing the duty on imported leather footwear for adults or imposing a duty and quota restrietions. New Zealand expresses its willingness to aceept reprasentations by British manufacturers who would put forward a case. ' '
