Sequel to Fatal Air Crash

DUNEDIN, This Day. A sequel to the fatal aeroplane accident at St. Andrew's, near Timaru, in Septeraber, 1934, when a passenger, Mr. Howard Bailey, was killed, whs a meeting of creditors yesterday after.noon of the pilot, Mr. Francis Cecil Taylor, whose principal creditor was the widow of the victim who, in August of last year, was awarded damages of £1906 against the pilot. Bankrupt stated that, after judgment, the net value of his assets was £200, and his wife off-ered to lend liim £300 if Mrs. Bailey would accept £500 in satisfaction of the judgment, but no definite acceptanee or rejection was received. In the .meantime his assets had dwindled, as his health prevented work, ko the offer was withdrawn. Only last month he offered £300, the refusal of which compelled him to file a petition in bankruptcy. He gained no benefit from his wife's farm property.
